Does watery sperm have any implications?
Someone asked what are the characteristics of a healthy semen?(cum) and I feel many will benefit from this question
1. VOLUME: A healthy semen volume is between 2 to 5mls per ejaculates, however when one ejaculate incessantly, there is high tendency to ejaculate little semen or non at all.
Sometimes male who has never had sex may not ejaculate usually it there is an underlying problem such as either retrograde ejaculation where the semen is inside urinary bladder, in male who are undergoing radiotherapy there is high tendency they may not ejaculate.
2. COLOURS: The normal colour of semen ranges from white, gray white to sometimes yellow.
However if your semen is frankly yellow it is a sign of an infections especially when accompanied with pains, itching or rashes.
Sometimes it could be reddish, most likely a burst blood vessels due to rigorous sex or masturbation it usually regress in days, however if semen is still bloody after days see your doctor tendency of more serious trauma, or even testicular cancer is ongoing.
3. ODOUR: Semen has a perculiar odour perculiar to everyone though can slightly change in different individuals, the commonest factors that makes semen smells slightly different from one another is food, it smells like chlorine purgent!!!
However if it smells differently from this see your doctor
4.THICKNESS: The thickness of semen could be watery, most times people who are always having sex tend to have less thick semen which is normal, however if semen is watery it could be an indication of an active infections, excess masturbation or regular sex.
The thickness of your semen does not indicate increased fertility, both watery and thick sperm contains same number of sperm cells, if no infections.
Some men naturally have light semen.
Remember if semen is infected sperm cells will be killed and some will even become non motile.
